Joyce was ordained a deacon in Oklahoma in 1985. She moved to Arkansas in 1989 and has served in the diocesan office and in congregations in Fayetteville and Little Rock. She is currently assigned to Christ Church, Little Rock, where she coordinates outreach ministries and assists in liturgies. She is the program director for the Arkansas House of Prayer and the state coordinator for the Arkansas Death Penalty Study and Moratorium Campaign. She has been active in Province VII in youth ministry, in anti-racism work, and in |
Christian formation. She is the Vice-President/President-Elect of the North American Association for the Diaconate and is on the National Executive Council for the Episcopal Peace Fellowship. She serves as secretary on the Harmony Health Clinic Board and the Servant Leadership School of Little Rock. She is currently the secretary for the Congregations in Ministry Committee of the Executive Council and the liaison with Jubilee Ministries.
