Max Patterson, a native of Detroit, was confirmed at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Beaumont, Texas in 1987. Max and his family are currently members of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. Over the years Max has served in numerous lay positions such as Lay Eucharistic Minister; Chalicifer; Junior Warden; Diocese of Texas Executive Board; Co-Chair of Province VII

Anti-Racism Network; and Vice- President of Province VII. Max is currently Vice-President of Community of the Streets (Lord of the Streets) a homeless ministry in Midtown Houston and President of St. Vincent's House, a social services agency in Galveston, Texas. Max also serves on the Cultural Awareness Committee of the Diocese of Texas.
