The Reverend Elizabeth Dabney was assigned to St. John's, Columbus, Texas, in January, 2013.  Elizabeth feels called to serve the church as a bi-vocational Priest, offering her ministry to smaller churches which might otherwise not be able to afford to compensate a priest.  She combines this special vocation with motherhood:  Elizabeth is a single mom to her three children, Veronica, 10, David, 6, and Rory,  4. Elizabeth is also a member of the Rivendell Community, a recognized Christian Community of the Episcopal Church and is the coordinator for Province VII for the Episcopal Church.  Mother Elizabeth posts some of her sermons on the St. John's Facebook page.
